Charity Work

Are you someone who gains satisfaction from helping others? If so there are lots of ways you can engage with the community and involve yourself in charitable activities. Our students are encouraged to raise awareness of causes and organise ways to raise funds for our agreed charities.  It's an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the community, whilst gaining vital experience and increasing your employability skills for the future. 

Hemsworth Post 16 Centre has forged strong links with local and national charities who regularly offer our students great opportunities to work in the wider community on a variety of placements or projects. These opportunities are advertised in Guidance as well as our dedicated Post 16 communications page and volunteering board led by our Head Boy and Head Girl in the common room. Some of the organisations we work with are:
