Another set of outstanding results 2020:

Message from the Post 16 lead, Mrs Clifford

At Outwood Academy Hemsworth we are delighted with record breaking results. We are continuing to see results improving at all measures (A*/A, A*/B, A*/C and A*/E). In the last two years since the academy converted to Outwood Grange Academies Trust, on average each A level grade has improved by nearly two grades. This means students who attend the academy are now likely to perform a whole grade higher than expected by the government.

The hard work shown by students and staff has been rewarded.  All of our students who wanted to, have been successful in their route into university, which means that they can look forward to their next challenge in their educational journey. Something they fully deserve.  The positivity surrounding Outwood Academy Hemsworth’s Sixth Form’s progress has seen enrolment onto next year’s courses nearly triple and we are really pleased with the rapid transformation of the Sixth Form and particularly proud of the Year 13s.

Some of the highlights from this year’s results include;
