To sample but a few of the study trips that we have provided in previous years, students have visited many places both at home and abroad, even stretching across the world with our Business trip to New York where students take in the sights of one of the financial capitals of the world.
Other subjects will have specific field trips as part of their course such as Geography that has field trips to the East Coast.
Students studying History have even flown to the Auschwitz concentration camp with the Holocaust Educational Trust to witness and appreciate the horrific conditions that many Jews and others faced during the Second World War.
Law students have visited Leeds Crown Court, and witnessed live trials as well as having a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of the Justice System in practice.
Construction students have visited Urban construction sites, accessed tool box talks and looked at the latest in Environmental developments within the Construction industry.
To help students with their future career aspirations, all Y12 students are taken to the annual UCAS Higher Education Fair in Sheffield and the University and Apprenticeship event in Leeds for an opportunity to ask questions and get excited about the potential of post 18 options.
The sixth form have a particularly strong relationship with Leeds Beckett and will regularly take trips to their Headingley sports campus, there are also plans to visit their state of the art Law department.
Leeds Beckett however is not the only University the school has strong links with, through the Go Higher West Yorkshire partnership, most Universities within the country are available to visit.
The Official partners of the school are the following; University Centre Calderdale, University Of Huddersfield, Kirklees College, Bradford College, University of Bradford, University Centre Wakefield, Leeds Conservatoire, University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University, Leeds Arts University, Leeds College of Building and Leeds Trinity University.
There were preliminary plans in place to take students to Cambridge University last term. This is something we hope to make a reality in the very near future.
