Outwood Academy Hemsworth offers a variety of ways to get involved in sport either competitively, for pleasure or to keep fit. There is the opportunity to compete competitively against other schools in the U19 Football League.
The PE department actively encourages Post 16 students to get involved in as many recreational sports as they can. There are specific evenings for Post 16 students to enjoy the use of the facilities, whether it to have a game of 5-a-side, use the fitness suite or to attend the boxing academy.
There may be the opportunity to complete the Community Sports Leaders Award at Level 3. This would include a trip to Malta to enjoy the experience of coaching overseas.
