Supporting Every Student to Secure Their Next Steps
We are pleased to announce that our Post 16 Team, working in partnership with Progress Careers, will be conducting one-to-one guidance appointments with all Year 11 students over the coming weeks.
These personalised meetings are an important part of our commitment to ensuring that every student has a clear and positive destination after completing their GCSEs.
What is the purpose of these meetings?
The aim of the one-to-one appointment is to:
- Provide students with tailored advice about their Post 16 options
- Discuss future education, training and career pathways
- Support students with applications to Sixth Form, College, Apprenticeships or Employment with Training
- Ensure every young person has a planned destination for after Year 11
- Offer guidance on choosing courses that match their strengths, goals and interests
This process helps us guarantee that each student receives the support they need to make confident and informed decisions about their future.
Who will students meet with?
Appointments will be carried out by:
Mrs Perry — Associate Assistant Principal, Careers Lead & Post 16 Learning Manager
These are in addition to the careers appointments with our qualified adviser from Progress Careers.
Every student will receive personalised support tailored to their aspirations and needs.
When will appointments take place?
Appointments will take place during the school day. Students will be informed of their appointment time and are expected to attend promptly.
Parents and carers will also be updated where appropriate.
